游戏中将有共计35种以上的体育项目登场。让玩家在游戏里体验奥运会上的激烈竞争。从国家主体育场“鸟巢”到国家游泳中心“水立方”，都会一一在游戏里重现。

本作将重现奥运经典项目，游戏中也会收录10大重要赛事。作为即将在8月8日开幕的第29届奥运会的官方游戏，本作画面将真实的再现运动健儿的风姿，同时将以真实的运动场馆为背景，真实的描写观众、场内广播等。在游戏中收录了包括：田径、游泳、划船、自行车、体操、柔道、举重、桌球、射击、射箭等十大种类，共计35种竞赛。并且玩家可以连入Xbox Live网络察看自己的排名。
